There could be a lot of reasons. First, are you monitoring through the same set of speakers. In otherwords, you are listening to what the Korg module is playing back and Sound Forge is playing back through some kind of mixer and therefore monitoring through the same set of speakers? Are you recording and leaving the sound recorded from the Korg, in some kind of uncompressed format, say .WAV of 44.1 Khz 16bit at minimum? Also, check your windows mixer section, the little speaker icon on the bottom right of your screen. Sometimes there are tone controls under the "WAVE" or "Master" section that may be activated. Are you recording in Stereo? If none of these, then it might be due to your sound cards quality, and it may lack in the bass frequency recording ability.
