Granted, it "comes with" Sound Forge, but... SoFo has this for sale as a stand alone. I was actually going to buy it just before SF 6.0 came out, but waited, since it was included in the package. However, if I had purchased it by itself, I would have some (very understandable) gripes. I have never seen a batch precessor/converter that has come close to this, but the bugs... Converting .avi to Real -- lock up and freeze...no file. Then, today, I converted some .wav files to .wma, but strayed from the default templates...distortion like you wouldn't believe. I know SoFo's up tto their eyeballs in Acid 4 right now -- but you're selling a product that needs some serious spraying. These aren't obscure formats or settings we're having problems with. This needs to get addressed. It's been several months now -- it's time to break out the RAID... |

I hear what your saying Jess, Here in NYC, SF has a reputation as not being "support oriented" un-like Pro-tools, Nuendo or Waves plugins".... but for the price.... you get what you pay for. And this forum is a knowlege-base by itself. I'm sure SF is aware and working on the bugs when it doesn't conflick with development of a new children's software. |
