Has anyone tried to use this in another host such as SONAR? I cannot get any envelopes to work with it in SONAR (why is that caps?). The plugin just does not respond to the envelopes. Just wondering if it's a SONAR issue or an issue with th plugin. I have a feeling it's the plugin since it does work in Acid. TeeCee |

SONAR is all caps just like ACID is. Just one of those things, I guess. :) I think I remember reading a post on the issue about how the plug-ins show up in SONAR but are not actually useable as they are in ACID. Doesn't SONAR have its own resonant filter? Iacobus |

The plugins are useable. The automation just doesn't work on tracks. It does work on busses, though. Weird. SONAR does not have a resonant filter that I know of. Resonant filters are only just becoming really popular in software. TeeCee |

Iacobus You are thinking of OPT plug-ins and SONAR, not DirectX plugs. Re: this thread I will check out TeeCee's issue with the res filter and SONAR. Nate |

What version of SONAR are you using? I experienced some strange behaviour with the intial release Sonar 1.0, but it seemed the issues were resolved with the first or second update. We've tested against SONAR 2.0 before release, and I've just tried it again and it works for me. Do the other automated SF plugins work in SONAR (Track EQ, Flange/Wah/Phase)? Have you been able to use third party plug-in automation in SONAR? Thanks. --j |

I found the issue. I had the filter following an old Sonic Timeworks delay. If the delay was enabled, no track automation. No delay, and it works fine. Or if the delay follows the filter, everything is fine. I thought I played with that initially, but I hadn't. That's why it did work for me when I put the filter in an aux bus. I didn't move the delay. Automatable FX are incredible! Beats cranking knobs by hand while recording live. Yes I realize that's the way it was done for years. And I'm glad those years are falling behind us. All I need now is for all of my plugins to have automation. Using SONAR 2.0, by the way. TeeCee |
