Hi I've been trying to get the Acid 4 demo working, but everytime I run the program, choose Demo mode, it shows the acid load up screen, then changes over to the Blue Screen Of Death. "A Fatal Exception 0E has occurred at 0028:D4F9544F in vxd emuaps(01)+00071E0F" I'm running Win98SE on a PIII 450, 192 RAM, SoundBlaster Live! I have all the latest drivers and everything, but it just doesn't want to run. Can anyone help? |

Hello, What kind of Video card are you using If Radeon with the latest drivers then that's the problem the latest drivers for Radeons won't work. Backup to the previous ones. See ya, Rockitglider |

The message: "A Fatal Exception 0E has occurred at 0028:D4F9544F in vxd emuaps(01)+00071E0F" is referring to an EMUAPS VXD device. It sounds like you were running the EMU APS drivers on either the original APS, or perhaps the modified drivers for an SBLive. Reinstalling them, or switching to the (much better) KX drivers should fix the issue. |

Then I would suggest removing and reinstalling the drivers, or else removing them and installing the standard Creative Labs drivers and just doing without ASIO or the extra benefits of the KX drivers. |

I've removed, then reinstalled the drivers. Several times over. As for asio, i haven't ever tried to benefit from it since I don't even have my midi keyboard hooked up to my computer. But you are right, I ran the ap4 demo and it actually loaded, no blue screen. problem is if i want sound i have to go back to the creative drivers that are causing your program to crash in the first place. |

Jay, Do you have an SBLive? If so, a good install of any of the latest Creative drivers should work just fine. Nate |
