Subject:Low volume levels of wave files Posted by: lhrocker Date:9/19/2002 4:11:48 PM Let me start with my recording setup: Alesis Studio 32 Mixer Echo Darla P4 1.5 w/Win ME When I record from my mixer to SF, the meter on the Sound Forge screen shows close to 0db. Upon looking at the file at playback, the level of the file is closer to -6db. I am using the latest Sound card driver as well as the latest version of Sound Forge and Windows. I heard that this was a known problem with Win ME, but I just wanted some opinions. Please keep mind that the levels on the mixer are close to 0db as is the levels shown on SF. After the recording has been completed, and looking at the waveform in SF, the levels are definitely lower. Any suggestions? Thanx, Peter
