Subject:"Hung" Program using XP...both 4.0 and 4.0a

Error message appears when I start Acid Pro 4.0a: "An error occurred starting ACID. The system is low on memory. You may be able to reduce memory usage by closing other applications." Error initially occurred following a program freezeup as I followed along with SF slide show learning how to use the chopper. Haven't been able to get past the error described above even after uninstalling and reinstalling 4.0 AND 4.0a. HELP! I've updated the driver for my Creative Soundblaster Live card and tweaked the video configuation and msconfiged to a minimum startup (and recited the Star Spangled Banner backwards while hopping on 1 foot). PROGRAM WILL NOT RUN. IT'S HUNG. All my other programs load and run just fine including Sound Forge 6.0 and Pro Tools LE. Any ideas???? Please help.

How much ram do you have? Memory errors are pretty rare for XP. You need AT LEAST 512 mb ram for XP/2000. These OS's do very well with alot of ram.
Hope this helps.

RAM: 384

Processor Speed: PENTIUM 3 996 MHz

Sound Card: Creative Soundblaster LIve
As I've said, I don't have problems with any other programs. I've reduced the video acceleration to the lowest setting, msconfigured for minimum "load", and updated my sound card driver. I've also uninstalled 4.0 and installed 4.0a several times. The hang up occured as I was using Acid, following along with a tutorial provided by SF on how to use the chopper. Program has been hung up since then. (First 4.0, then 4.oa. I had been using 4.0 without problems until then.???????????? Thanks!
