What I am having trouble with is when to use Beatmapper and on what type of file. If I have a file that is an actual 2 minite song that has tempo changes-would I have to beatmap different parts of the song to get acurate loops? I guess my question is- when do you use the 3 file types and why. I know its a broad question but Im having trouble figuring out a working stlye in Acid. |

Very good question. Might want to check out Joel's post on this issue. Basically, use can use Loops for short cuts of audio, use One-shots for audio you don't want to transpose, change tempo, etc. (very good for creating drum tracks) and use Beatmapped tracks for audio you want to stretch/compress with the rest of your project. I read that Thanks So if I bring in a one shot and treat it as described in that post-It is not then Beatmapped? It has just been tempo corrected but will not streach with the song or transpose like a Beatmapped file? It kind of seems like using Beatmapped files and this method conflict with eachother. If I bring a new file in after doing this and I BM it then change session tempo all the tempo markers get messed up. Is this an either/or situation? |

A One-shot will not change pitch or tempo with the rest of your project when any changes occur; it will stay in its original form as it was heard. For that reason, it's not the One-shot that gets changed but the rest of the project; the project is essentially following the One-shots lead. Iacobus |
