My email to Waves "But I am doing some work in sonic foundry Acid and am finding that all Waves automatable parameters are adjusted in Units. That is, if I initiate a Waves SuperTap on a bus in Acid>Create automation envelope for BPM> Create automation nodes in bus track> node parameters are displayed as units. Similarly, when automating a frequency band in Ren EQ the node parameters are units-as are all Waves parameters. This is not intuitive- where BPM in most programs using Waves would be set by typing BPM. SOFO said that each envelope parameter is send by the third party plug in. This seems to be correct because the native SOFO plugs had parameters like db and other usual ones. This is in the track envelop of Acid not the waves plug in-but seems Waves specific. Even if I knew the math formula to calculate units when making adjustments it would help- because the conversion in some or most parameters is not immediately apparent." Waves response" "Make sure you have the latest Acid version , this issue has been solved during Acid4 Beta time. Is this with all Waves Parameters?" SOFO phone response: " Must be a bug, but Im really not sure...cant tell you what to do" |
