I would like to play my guitar THRU Amplitube VSTi as I can in cubendo or sonar. Is there a way to do this ?

NO.

there is no live input monitoring, except I think there may be some way you can do this with ASIO

No, I tried and could never get it to work. It seems ACID 4.0 does not offer live input monitoring. I use it a lot in SONAR though, using the FXpansion VST-DX 4.0 adapter and my Delta WDM drivers. It does sound superb when using it with my Gibson Les Paul Standard guitar :)

Isn't Amplitube a VST effect, not an actual VST instrument?

Note that ACID 4.0 uses VSTi but not VST effects.

Well, vegas wont take vst at all,nor does it have asio for the POSSIBLILITY of inpout monitoring, so itll have to be acid

Pipeline, we both know that you can use VST fx within Vegas using a VST>DX wrapper.

Looking forward to ASIO in Vegas, especially if it allows live input monitoring.

I DO trust Peter, but I dont seriously believe that a vst plug, inside a wrapper will have low enough latency to play a guitar .

I will be REALLY happy about being proven wrong tho!

I am more and more seeing the wisdom of combining these two apps

how do you record that into acid? thru " totalrecord " or some such?
