I'm a newbie so pardon this question which no doubt has a simple answer. I have about 30 secs. of extra time line with nothing on it that I wish to dump. I've tried time selection and then doing trim. I've tried cutting the extra time line or deleting it but nothing I do gets rid of that extra 30 secs on the time line. There is no material there but I want to get rid of those 30 secs or so of nothing -- this is not a Philip Glass piece. How do I get rid it? What am I missing? I'm using Acid 4.0 build 217 on a PC with Win98. I've gone through the Help files, searched the Knowledge database, searched the forums, looked through the manual, and nothing I see mentions how to shorten the time line. I'm sure the answer to this is obvious.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Are you referring to the extra space of time at the absolute end of your project? Don't worry to much about it; it will not get rendered with the rest of your project. (ACID will only render to the end of the last event in your project.) Think of it as breathing room just in case you need to move events around.

To add to mD's post:

Check to be sure you don't have a marker, time sig/tempo/key change way out at the end, or else that time will get rendered, and will never seem to "disappear".

Ahh...good point, Nate. Didn't think of that. :)
