Subject:Sound Forge 6.0 Vocal Remover Plugin Posted by: Rednroll Date:10/1/2002 10:03:29 PM It's finally available!!! I found a way to remove vocals, it works in either SF 6.0a or 6.0b. Ingredients: Windows 98SE Sound Forge 6.0a or 6.0b Steinberg Magneto v1.1 plugin placed in the "DX Favorites" menu. Recipe: 1. Select all data 2. select your Steinberg Magneto v1.1 plugin from the DX favorites menu 3. Hit preview and tweak the settings of magneto, to just where everything is sounding good. 4. Hit "Stop" 5. Hit "OK" 6. The processing time bar will start on the bottom of your data window then Walahhhh!!!! The vocals are gone!!! Along with all the rest of the data in the window!!!! Don't worry, if you don't like the results....just use the UNDO menu item and everything will be restored back to normal. Oh course this wasn't what I was trying to achieve, so I had to open up SF 5.0 and use the same plugin in there, and everything worked like expected. Bug? Well maybe??? Unless you like to terrify your clients when you just spent a couple hours mastering their music and you're just finishing up applying a little tape compression to the mix to give it the finishing touch.
