Subject:Acid 4.0 RPC 1 card problem?

Hello folks. I am new to acid 4.0. I have hooked up my RPC card to my computer then to my 2480. I can't get the acid pro to play. When I hit play nothing happens. My routing is correct. 2480 master, acid slave. I have windows xp (installed driver update) Pent 4 processor using a Sony Vaio computer. Any suggestions as to why this is not playing.

Oh yeah, if I disconnect the routing to the 2480 the acid pro does play. This makes it seem like a connection problem but I checked and triple checked and everything is set up as it should be.

Thanks for your help.

Note that ACID cannot chase (be the slave to) MTC or MIDI clock but can be triggered via MTC. Have you ensured that the 2480 is sending MTC?

Be sure to check out p. 140 onward in the full ACID Pro manual.

Yes, the 2480 is on MTC. Even if I disconnect MTC acid still won't play. Only if I change audio device to microsoft soundmapper can I get the acid to play. Confusing.

Strange, indeed. What are you using as an audio interface (soundcard)? Might want to try updating or reinstalling its drivers.
