when i use "render to new track" on a 2 bar section, is the created file acidized and ready to be played as a loop in other apps or is there another step?

this method works fine for me but i need to be sure it will work for others.

It should. Just to be sure, you can access the track properties and check out tempo, key, etc. or just look at the loop's region info when you click on the loop in the Explorer. If a specific BPM, key, etc. is listed, you should be golden.

Also, you may want to look at your levels. There's no sense in rendering a loop with a -6dB peak if you don't need to. The rendered loop will be less susceptible to audible artifacts if it is created as loud as possible without clipping.

thanks tc but i think i've covered setting levels in my posts regarding 0db and mastering techniques. but its good to see i'm not the only one that knows how to go about it.
