Help! I am trying to set edit points in Sound Forge. What I have for a source is a song "chunk" (about two verses and a chorus), and I am trying to grab ins and outs, and get some usable pieces to make a complete version.

The tune is very up tempo, and I cannot get the points nice and clean, and therefore the full version is very herky jerky when assembled in ACID. Is there a way to set edit points (both in and out) on the fly as the track is playing?

Thanks,

CTM

You can set markers while the file is playing by pressing the M key. These can be adjusted, added, and deleted afterwards as well. You can then convert the markers to regions, or just double-click between two markers to select that section.

Cool! Thanks for the tip! I'll give it a shot.
