I need to know how to set up ACID Pro 4.0a with a keyboard I have. I want to use the keyboard as a midi instrument (or controller, I'm not sure which.....). Ultimately, I want to get a midi track recorded using this keyboard I have. Now, the keyboard has MIDI in/out/thru on the back and I have the MIDI in/out on the front panel of a Live! Drive. How do I connect them to each other? Next, I can't make heads or tails of all the port/thru, etc. info in the Midi tab in Preferences. Lots of device names and "None" under midi thru column.... Help!!!!! Can I play my keyboard as a midi instrument into ACID along with a drum loop and hear the drums and what I'm playing????? By the way, I am using the KX drivers for my soundblaster live! if that makes any difference.... |

You may want to check out the full ACID Pro 4.0 manual, specifically Chapter 10, p. 123. Everything you've always wanted to know about recording MIDI is in there. HTH, Iacobus |
