Hi all I've been looking into SoundForge for awhile now but havn't been able to find out if it has the capbilities to restore old, worn-out audio tapes to a somewhat closer-to-original state (i.e. removing hiss, tape backgroung noise, etc.). I'm thinking that the info is there on the SonicFoundry site somewhere but I just am not looking in the right places yet I guess. :-) Does SoundForge do these type of things? Thanks -Mike |

What I think you're looking for is Sound Forge 6.0 with the Noise Reduction plug-in. The NR plug-in is a extra cost plug-in. http://www.sonicfoundry.com/products/NewShowProduct.asp?PID=14 There's a trial version to download. HTH |
