I am using VSTI's and have a keyboard connected to an audigy Sound card. The problem is when I hit a key on the keyboard, there is a delay before I hear the sound from ACID (VSTi). This makes it impossible to play with a beat. Is there a fix for this? or is that just the way it is? I have cakewalk and it plays as soon as I hit the key. Just wondering if anyone else has this problem. Thanks. |

What audio card are you using? What is the buffer setting in the Audio preference page set to? The default is 350 ms for the Mapper and Wave Classic drivers. You should try lowering this value. For ASIO drivers, the ASIO driver typically uses a low enough default that you should not experiance significant delays. ASIO driver buffer settings are controlled by the driver's control pannel. You can access this from the Advanced button in the ACID Audio Preference page. Peter |

Yes the ASIO drivers were the fix. Thanks for the advice. Now I can play live. I had a little trouble setting the driver up. But I went to creative's site and found that it had to be set to 48000k and 16 bit. A happy camper now. |
