Subject:help with song structures

Hi everyone,

I'm a novice musician getting a lot of my creative ideas out with Acid. Does anyone have any suggestions for canned song structure, without music or a place to learn about the structure of pop tunes.

Issue 40 of Computer Music magazine (sold in the UK) had a pretty good article on arranging for beginners. Unfortunately, this issue is sold out (according to their Web site. They might post it sometime in the future like they do their other articles. Meanwhile, you might want to go to their forums to see if anyone is willing to part with their issue.

Basically, a pop song goes like this:

Intro
Verse
Chorus
Verse
Chorus
Middle 8
Chorus
Chorus
Outro

Did you say that you didn't have access to music? If you do have access to any music, just write down the structure of a song you like.
