Subject:USP-Compatible 24-bit files

Does anyone know what this means? I have Sonic DVD Fusion, and it said in order to import 24-bit audio files, they must be USP-compatible. A recording engineer told me this is something only available on Sonic's system; well, does anyone know if this is true?

He said it's really an audio file that is "packed."
