Subject:using a PCI soundcard with a Mobo soundcard

I just got a soundblaster 128 PCI... but after I put it in, My PC only recognizes the PCI soundcard and not my integrated one.. is there a way for the computer to use both? |

Your computer should just see both cards by default, unless you are having some type of conflict or you have disabled the onboard card via a BIOS setting or jumper. If you look in your computer's device manager, do you see both cards? If you go to the Sound or Multimedia control panel do you have both cards available under the Audio tab to select as the default playback device? |

I got it.. It was a setting in BIOS, it asks about the "Audio codec" and it says "AUTO" , "ENABLE" or "DISABLE" It was on AUTO.. so probably, when there was a PCI soundcard, it probably defaults to that instead of the mobo one... so I set it on enable and now both are there! thx anyway. |
