In SF6, synthesis does not work properly: every wave created to 0 db FS clips. Shouldn't it simply be at FS? Related question: what's "Absolute Sine"? When I use that, I get a sine with 50% DC offset on the positive side. If this is correct, what would this be useful for? And a request: There really hould be an option for frequency sweep creation. Thanks! Q |

I agree, there should be a tool for frequency sweep creation. There are some presets in the FM synthesis menu. I was trying to create a 20Hz-20Khz sweep, and thought I would start with these presets and just tweak them to my chosen frequencies, but NO luck. I tried for a few hours tweaking the parameters and reading the help file, came on this forum looking for advice and still haven't figured out how to do it. I also can't figure out why there is still a 1 minute limit on the duration of creating sinewaves? I was doing some analysis where I wanted to create a 74 minute CD with a 1Khz tone, and I had to repeatedly do the sinewave generator 74 times and that still didn't ensure that it was a continuous sinewave. Sure would have been nice being able to just type in 74 minutes in the duration field. |
