Fresnog,

What exactly were you doing when you recieved that error? Editing MIDI? Undo/Redo? Reloading a MIDI track? Please, let me know. Give specifics if you can reproduce the error message.

"An error occurred while processing the undo buffer. You should save your work immediately using a new product filename and restart ACID.

The reason for the error could not be determined."

I got this again as I was changing the patch for the midi voice in the list editor about 4 or 5 different times.
No details button was on the screen this time though....

Following is the response to the EXACT SAME ERROR MESSAGE to someone who was using 3.0. Maybe whatever was causing this error in the previous version is doing the same in 4.0a (this is really annoying since it happens to me whenever I touch a midi track i have recorded.)

Hello Djipy-

Thanks for doing the research. We've reproduced and fixed the problem. The fix should show up in the 3.0f update, which should be coming fairly soon.

Best,
Joel

I would also like to ask about the following....
I can use the KX ASIO driver to record MIDI, but can I use the same KX ASIO driver to record from a guitar/pod into the line in 2/mic in 2 on the front of my Live! Drive. I haven't found the secret in the KX mixer. Does ASIO mean 'MIDI only?'

Two replies:

1) The "problem with the Undo buffer" error message can occur anytime sometime happens that causes the Undo/Redo buffer stacks to become unstable, or unreliable. It's not the same issue that was referred to in Joel's reply to Djipy. I will attempt to reproduce it today, so we can get it corrected for the next update. It's quite possible that it's already been found and will be corrected for 4.0b.

2) You can definately record audio using the KX drivers and the SBLive. I do not hav a LiveDrive connected to mine, so I'm not sure on the naming schemes. Line In/2 may be labelled Aux2 or similar in the KX mixer. You may want to post your question on the KX Project forums at: http://pub12.ezboard.com/bkxproject

HTH,
Nate
