whats up, i was just wondering if anybody knows an easy way to delete all unused .wav files in the acid recordings folder dont feel like going through the pain of determining which files, of thousands, need to be deleted - but you gotta do what you gotta do if anybody knows a simpler way, it'd be greatly appreciated thank, deric |

Things I would suggest: Name the takes so that you know which take is which. An obvious way is to name the take after the project. You can also be more specific, like, "Name of Project-Rhythm Guitar-Verse 1-Take 1." It takes a little time, but it'll save some time later when you clean house. Another is to record in a specific folder on a project-by-project basis. When you save a project, the specific folder location used for recording is also saved. This also takes a little time but definitely will save you some cleanup time later on, as you'll know that that take belongs to a specific project. When you look at a track's properties in a project, it'll tell you the exact file name and location in the lower left. (Hover the cursor over their fields to see complete info.) What would be really handy is to be able to print such data on a list so you know what to keep and what to get rid of in a project. (Hmm...am I on to something here?) HTH, Iacobus |

In the past, when I've completed a project I remove any tracks that weren't used. Then I save the project to a seperate folder and check the "Copy All media with project". If you do this for all existing projects (including unfinished ones)then I think you can delete all the files in the recordings folder. Hope this helps, Chris |
