Subject:Windows media from 720X480? help please

When I convert or render as windows media 9 from DV 720X480 it converts to 640X480
and video gets squished. When I try to render at 720X480 it creates a file that is bad (horizontal lines). Any suggestions on how to keep the spect ratio and render to this format?
