Subject:problems with recording MIDI in Acid 4.0

I have a Zoom GFX 8 processer for my guitar.I've gone through all the settings for acid via tech support.The acid settings are ok but I still can't record.Is anyone familier with this processer?Also once I get the recording with MIDI finished can I change the voices with the soft synth?
