Subject:Cutting bars in Acid Pro 3.0

Acid Pro seems to do everything but cut bars, does anyone know how to do this? If I select a region and press delete, it just deletes the contents in the region, it doesn't actually clip the region the way soundforge does. I can do it in soundforge after it has been rendered, but it's much cleaner in Acid. Can anyone help? thanks.

I think what you want to do is use ripple editing. You may have to split your events at the beginning and ending of the desired time to be removed. I can't get it to work, but I may have something set wrong. Check the help file for Ripple Editing.

Indeed, that's what it sounds like alloowishus wants.

TeeCee: You have to use the Time Selection Tool in conjuction with ripple editing. (CTRL+L is the shortcut for ripple editing. I believe by default that it's off.) If you're having trouble selecting, use CTRL+SHIFT+A, which will deselect everything except the area inside the Loop Region.

Not that it has mattered for me as I can just grab everything and slide it after I cut pieces out, but I was not using the Time Selection Tool.
