I am trying so hard to get my SB audigy ex to work with my Acid 4...I can get midi going through but it is only the keyboards sounds (but flat)...the soft synth choice is DLS and the properties show all these options...voice this, voice that. THIS AMATUER NEEDS HELP!! Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks

winxp/sb audigy platinum ex/acid 4.0...trying to record midi. I cant get any midi sounds working...the only way it is working is as audio input from the keyboard sounds...the options on the dls available voices dont do anything...i tried searching the entire program but to no avail...i made sure the connections are fine...the midi piano in the creative audio HQ works fine...i checked the pdf and it didnt do a thing for me...i know it may be something simple, but since im somewhat of a newbie to this, you know...

any other things you wanna know, ask

It sounds like you want to change patches on the DLS synth from piano to anything else. There are a few topics covering how to change it. You can search for DLS patch change. Basically, you need to insert a patch change into the event list. There may be a tutorial on this on Sonic Foundry's web site by now.

If this is not what you are trying to do, try askin again and give us a step by step of what you have done.
