What were you doing when this occured? Was there any further information provided in the dialog? I means that some component did not support a programming interface that was expected by the host. This is usually caused by a bad install or an older component being used. More details will be need to help hunt this down. Peter |

after migrating to a different mobo, i was opening a project when this error occurred. it doesn't happen with all projects, just a few. the only thing they have in common is the error. aci music 3, win2k, 512 ram, dual proc... |

Sounds like a DX FX is corrupted or missing or old. Did you reinstall Windows after the MOBO change? Peter |

had to do an upgrade for windows to register the new parts. dx plugs shouldnt affect acid music though. theyre all there anyway. |

You should be able to fix the problem by reinstalling DirectX. I've seen this before. Ted |
