Subject:Recording from Apogee MiniMe to SF6 . .

Hi All,

I've noticed that I get no input level on SF6 in 24 bit mode, but input is fine in either 16 bit or 32 bit IEEE Float mode. Am using XP SP1 on Sony Notebook USB.

In general, what are the implications re 24 bit vs 32 bit IEEE ?

Best regards,
Rick Z

Hello RickZ,

I have the same problem with my USBPre (www.usbpre.com)and Sonic Foundry applications. USBPre works fine in 24 mode on my Smaarlive 5.

Maybe, a SF USB issue?

Regards

After doing a little more testing, it looks to be an XP problem. On my desktop computer, with both W2KSP3 and XPPro installations, I tried the same thing as on notebook, ie select 24 Bit recording. W2K works fine, XPPro, no levels. I heard back from Apogee, asking for more details on my problem, will post the cure, whenever we get that far . .
