Right click on the track header, and from the context menu, you can choose "Set default Track Properties..." From there, you can have the track's current volume override the preview fader from there on. Is that perhaps something you already did? Either way, you can use it as a fix. Best, Joel |

how do I unset....I want it to come in as the preveiw level. If I change the preview level- each new track should follow suit? Set preview to -3 , drag in loop> dragged loop track volume is -3 change preview to + 5 , drag in loop> dragged loop track volume is +5 this is what I need |

The design was to be one-way. Initially, the preview fader is in control of the import volume levels, but after setting the default track volume in "Set default track properties..." the preview fader gets decoupled from import volume, so that it can be used specifically for preview. You could blow away all of your prefs by holding down Ctrl+Shift while opening the app, and that would get the preview fader recoupled again. HTH, Joel |
