Would Sonic Foundry please change the way Acid handles missing files. The four options dialogue that comes up when Acid can't find a file is OK - but please change the behaviour/function of 'Search for Missing File' and 'specify a new location or replacement file as follows: 1. It should be possible to browse to a directory when searching for a missing file. Searching an entire drive is tedious when the drive is very large. 2. When specifying a new location could Acid please include the file name rather than leaving the file name blank. Acid 2 used to do this and it was very handy. Now I can find the right directory but I have to type the file name. If I forget the file name I have to cancel the dialogue check the name and start again. This is a real drag. Does anyone follow what I mean? What are other people's experiences with searching for missing files? I recently had a hard drive failure and I know it's going to be a nightmare linking everything back up again. Chris (Hunt) |
