Hello, I've read reviews and friends talked me about this new VSTi. It seems very powerfull, easy to use, and got incredible sounds. Does anyone know if it can work with Acid pro 4? It's not mentioned @ Edirol's website and the price is very affordable (less than $300). What do you thing? is it worth buying it to use it with Acid Pro 4? Regards, jam |

I picked it up last week It is VERY NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I own a Triton Rack, MOTIF6 and a Roland XV-5080 with the 8mb Orchestral 1&2 and the sounds of the Edirol sounds better. for the same price of one of the Orchestral exp. boards. I've recorded so far up to 12 midi track to this one VSTi. Now unlike most VSTi's if you want to use more than one instrument at a time you have to write your vol., pan, patch, fx, per track. On my MOTIF I went into Seq. mode and selected trk 1 and enabled real-time midi on the Orch.VSTi recorded the part, went in at the top of the midi trk in Acid and inserted a Vol. and Patch change (if not the next time you open it will default the patches. and repeat the same thing for trks 2-16. Good luck George Ware |

I got it yesterday and tried it out today. It sounds AWESOME! Not bad CPU usage either. I highly recommend it. Laurence Kingston |

One other thing: I have both the Edirol Hyper Canvas and the Edirol Quartet. Neither one is worth the space they take up on your hard disk. They don't sound bad, but they don't sound great either, and they both use up way too much CPU. I almost didn't buy the Orchetra VSTi because of my bad experience with their other two offerings, but the demos sounded really good so I gave it a shot. This is a MUCH better VSTi. It sounds great, the user interface is terrific, and the CPU usage is quite reasonable. Just don't be so impressed with this one that you give either of their other offerings a try. They are nowhere near as good. Laurence Kingston |

The only thing I don't like about the Orch VSTi is that you can not turn off the unused instruments, but hey it sounds awesome. George |
