Subject:Maximizing the Open, Save As, etc. boxes

A while back I asked why the "Open", "Save As", etc. boxes would not maximize with a double click like a 'normal' window would. In fairness, no boxes from any software manufacturer do that. I guess it just never mattered as much because I wasn't opening as many files from folders that had so many files. Someone responded that the "Open", "Save As" boxes, etc., were customized by the software companies themselves and while there was nothing per se preventing them from including that feature, they didnt' appear to be motivated in that direction. Recently I found a freeware utility that solved this problem for me quite nicely. The program is called: Freesnap. I honestly don't think the author had these types of windows in mind, but his utility works with any window. And rather than have to grab each corner and drag it to more or less fill up the screen, with Freesnap running all I have to do is press the "Windows" special key and Enter, and VOILA! The screen is maximized! It installs by default into the 'Startup' menu, which initially I didn't like; removed it; started it every time I had my machine on anyway so then just put it back in the Startup menu. It uses virtually zero resources and I haven't seen any conflicts with printing, burning CD's, anything, etc. It's amazing how quickly I have gotten used to it and how often I use it. For anyone interested, here is the URL for the web page. For me, it adds a nice little spice to SoFo.
