Does anyone know how to do this? I've got a tape in need of severe fixing but am not sure Soundforge can do it (I know it can do just about anything else in the wide world, but this would be a tough one!) I'm thinking perhaps there exists a plugin that would analyze a music file for regular rhythmic drum points or something, and then go back through and change the pitch so they occur at regular intervals.

I don't know if there's a plugin for this, but you could highlight sections and manually use Effects / Pitch / Bend to adjust for speed changes. You can even have the bend ramp from one section to the next rather than straight cuts.
