Subject:DISPLAY CORRUPTION

Hiya All,
I hope someone can help me with a problem I suddenly have with Sound Forge. I am running WInXP will 319mgs ram on a 500mhz PII. I have used SF 6.0 for several months with little to no problem. However, for some reason unknown to me, tonight a serious problem began to occur while editing a recorded narration. Whenever I click play or press spacebar to activate the playback the entire screen goes beige. Running the cursor across the screen slowly resolves the image. My display settings are correct for my monitor regarding resolution/refresh rate & none of that was altered in the time between my last use of SF6 (earlier today) & now. I am extremely computer literate (20 yrs experience) so unless I am missing the obvious we can discount the "newbie factor.” I am the only person who uses my system so settings could not have been changed without my doing so personally. The only changes to system parameters I made today SHOULD have nothing to do with SF or graphics & those changes were to return those parameters to their normal, optimal settings -settings at which SF had previously functioned properly! Furthermore, I tried SF with those same Bios changes in both conditions with the same results. The only other condition that changed was the addition of 64 megs of memory, after which I used SF without evidence of this problem. In short, I am stumped!

ANY SUGGESTIONS????

Thanx for your time & attention to my question... ;o)
