try right clicking on the face of the open DX plug-in and use >Quickload...
If there aren't any there, then there are no stored presets. Sometimes Timeworks has some downloadable presets on their site.

..Yeh I've tried that. The presets are in there but nothing happens when they are selected.
Thanks for responding

The preset mechanism inside the CompressorX property page (the three item popup menu) is not exposed to Sound Forge. It is something internal to the plug-in that loads or saves off the preset to a *.stp file stored inside the Timeworks folder. Probably some custom format, but could just be raw data.

The plug-in does expose the standard DirectX preset mechanism (the IPersistStream interface that can store and load presets in a common registry location), but the two are not tied together.

So in regards to their internal preset mechanism not changing anything, you'll have to take it up with ST directly (though it appears to work for me). But you should still be able to save your own presets with the Save As button. They will show up in the Preset combo box at the top of the dialog, and in other DirectX host applications, but not in their popup menu.
