video artifacts when editing -Sound Forge - PC - MAGIX Community Forums Archive

Quite often when performing edits in sound forge, such as normalizing, etc., I get a visual distortion on my wave file. The file erroneously displays as a wide, top to bottom block that doesn't apparently affect the actual data, but looks ugly when viewed either in Sound Forge or Vegas. I typically can make this go away by rending the file again through another edit, such as DC offset or another normalization. This never happened before I upgraded to 5.0. Any ideas what causes this and how to avoid it??
