Subject:Using SF5 as a video sample player?

OK, this is what I want to do. My band is putting together a multi-media stage show. I need it to be as hands-off as possible. I want to use Soundforge 5 (or Vegas 3) as the sample player. I've figured out how to trigger a audio/video event from SF using my guitar's MIDI pedalboard (cool!). I figured I would put all the clips together in one file in the order they are to be played (separated in regions), and program one button to play the clip and one to advance to the next clip. That part is easy...but how do I get the clip to stop playing (or pause) automatically when it hits the end of each region? That way, I could hit a button to start the clip...it would stop at the end of the region...then I would hit the button again to start the next clip (region). Make sense? Can it be done? Thanks! jp |

Another idea... I figured out how to have each clip on its own file, then press a button to switch between the windows. However, when I switch to the next window (file), I lose the signal to the external monitor. Hmmmm. jp |
