Subject:Every Sonic Foundry Product Will Not Run On my PC!

Everytime I download a demo, whether its vegas or sound forge, the application freezes my whole computer and I have to shut down the machine and restart! I double click on the icon on the desktop and it looks like its going to run (lots of hard drive activity)and then it locks up my whole computer and does nothing. It does the same thing for vegas and sound forge and I can not figure it out. I updated my sound card driver, reinstalled, and the same thing. If someone out there knows what to do I would be very thankful if you could help me.

We'll try and help you if you can answer a few questions:

What sound card are you using,
what video card
which driver versions (exact #),
what other devices are on your system,
what OS are you using,
what kind of motherboard and processor are you using,
and what other apps are installed?

ATI Raddeon 64 DDR VIVO
Driver version:5.13.1.6118

Delta Audiophile 2496
Driver version:5.10.0.5027

AMD Processor 1 Ghz and MSI KT266a Pro2

I had demo of Vegas running fine before then a couple of months ago it crapped out, I might have updated my video driver.

I have a variety of apps, if you can give a me a list of known trouble ones I can double check.

This sounds like that ATI graphics driver problem ... try using the latest graphics drivers for your card.
