I'm using Sound Forge 5.0 and have 2 issues/questions

1) Is there any way to export regions in MP3 format (rather then wav)
2) Is there any way to create a CD for an MP3 and have the Markers act as tracks

Basically I am taking a lot of live recordings of DAT and trying to burn them to CD ... but I can't export to CD or get it to burn the track ID's based of the markers.

Exporting to wav then converting to MP3 then going to CD is very very time consuming.

Thanks in advance

1) No
2) No, but you can convert markers to regions, then automatically export these regions as separate .wav files, then use your favorite CD burning software to create a Disk-at-once audio CD from these files.

Why do you need to use MP3? You'll get better quality and save time sticking with .wav files.

Unfortunately that's what I thought ...

I am using MP3 for 2 reasons.

1) They are also being put on an ftp site for other people to grab
2) Since they are live recordings ... and I'm doing it really for archiving, MP3 quality will save me some disk space (there are over 50 shows) for my multi-track sessions.

I appreciate your reply!!
