why when i try to resample a .wav from 48 -> 44.1 does the file speed up? is there any way to avoid this? i know the math is a little awkward but it seems like the result would be quantization errors or jitter - not speed... anyone? |

If you are just using the status bar or file properties, it stomps the current sample rate without actually resampling, which results in a speed change. Use Process->Resample and make sure the "Set the sample rate only" checkbox is un-checked. J. |

actually i figured it out - i had 2 DAT's one at 44.1k and one at 48k - i left the DAT machine turned on the echo layla 24 clock set to spdif. so when i played one of the wavs from one DAT it sounded slow - and the other sounded fast. resetting to internal clock fixed it. |
