Using Sound Forge 6.0. 1.6Ghz P4 w/512K cache, 1GB RDRAM, Win2KPro. video editing with Premiere 6.5 using Pinnacle DV500Plus. when I click on Record, my VU meters just go to the top within about 30 seconds. Using a Mackie 1402VLZ into Creative Audigy Line In. Line out goes to the same mixer. During record, I have fader down all the way for the Line Out. I tried disconnecting the line out from the Mackie. No difference. I have ACID Music 3.0. It works fine for recording. I can open the file then in SF 6.0 and all is well. What's up with the meters? A horrid sound (some kind of feedback?) is actually recorded in SF because when I play the gross looking waveform back, it is just an ever increasing buzz. I am thinking all of my hardware is fine because ACID Music works fine with the exact same setup. Also, in the bottom right corner of the screen in ACID Music is a window that says "video" in it. There is no tabs below it to switch between that and the "mixer". Thoughts? Thanks, AlwaysLearning |

Do you have the audio out (playback) in SF routed to the soundcard software mixer and recording from the soundcard mixer instead of directly from the soundcard ins, creating an audio loop? MJ |
