Subject:Recording DJ mix with live"pause"/generate new "track"

I am in the process of making a pre-recorded mix show CD and I have a few questions.
The best way I can explain my question is this: Say there are going to be 30 songs total (mixing one into or ontop of the next). Is there a way to set it up so that each time the mix is paused or recording is stopped, a new track generates? Basically what I am trying to accomplish is if I get to say, song 27 and the record skips or the mix needs to be redone,I don't have to start all over at the beginning?

Thanks in adavance for any helps with this.

You can crossfade recording takes after the fact. Save what you have recorded up until now and then re-record starting from the song where the problem happened. You can then copy that new recording and paste it into the first file. Under Paste / Special there are options for mix and crossfade. You can even undo / redo until you get the timing right.
