Whenever I save a sonic forge wav file to my hard drive, it automatically creates an additional file called an SFK file. Ditto when I save the file as real audio (rm) or MP3. Can anyone explain what these files are, and if it's necessary to keep them? Thanks |

Check out this KB article. Basically, you can delete the SFK file without hurting anything; Sound Forge will rebuild as necessary. You can also tell Sound Forge 6.0 to automatically delete the SFK file after you close it by going to Options>Preferences on the menu bar and then the File tab. Click Delete temporary files on close.
