I'm trying to open an mp2 for editing, it tells that can't open de codec, i'm about to go insane trying to find an mp2 codec, how can i fix that?

i'm using win2000 pro and i'm working with an mp2 with RIFF Header

You will need the MainConcept Plug-In to open and work with MPEG-2 files.

Why???, i mean i have my software version 6 and i have to pay again for a function!!??

Ok, i found the plugin, but now i realize that the problem is with the RIFF header .
i try other mp2 nd works, i even made a conversion from the RIFF mp2 to an mp2 made by dbpoweramp and this works.
So thank by the help and fix that.
by the wy do you know where i an mp2 editor that uses RIFF?
