Beware SF6 auctions "Too Good to be True" -Sound Forge - PC

Subject:Beware SF6 auctions "Too Good to be True" Posted by: musicvid10 Date:1/12/2003 3:23:35 PM Before the holidays, I sent an ebay seller (redeyerec) money for Sound Forge 6 and Noise Reduction. He never sent the item, no response to emails or phone messages, and no refund. Now, I see he is offering three more SF6 titles at under $100 starting bid. Please be extra careful before sending payment to this, or any auction seller offering Sonic Foundry software at ridiculously low or "Wholesale" prices. I learned from my mistake, but I have to wait and can only get partial reimbursment from ebay. I hope I can save someone else from a similar unpleasant situation. Mark

I usually avoid anyone who's got more than one or two negatives. You should also leave negative feedback as well. That's the best way to warn others.

You have to wait 30 days to file fraud charges, but you can place negative feedback now. That will help other eBay buyers a lot. I also sent this person an email to let them know of your post here and to explain, so maybe they will get the idea their little scam is uncovered. Thanks for your post here.
