"Slide" editing tool in VV3?

I'd like to know if there's a "slide"editing tool in VV3, similar to the one in Premier. It allows you to select one clip, move it, and it automatically pushes all the clips after it along with it. It's very tedious to have to select all the clips with the select tool, move them, then they get de-selected, then you re-select them, etc.

you can add "TIME---that moves all the clips down
ripple effect does it too
they are different in that one slides all down the time line
the other slides them all up the time line

You can also right click and choose to select all event to the end and move all of them in one easy step.

Jim,
I'll have you know that "Select events to end" only selects along the track you clicked - even if you have several tracks selcted in the track head column.

If you need to move the same events repeatedly, you should group them. Take a look at page 161 of the manual for details.

Mark-

Problem with your sugestion is when you ungroup nasty things happen. Audio/video becomes ungrouped as well.

Based on the V4 screen shot, SF has done something about this issue. I am dying to find out what...

I had the same problem with this "ungroup" thing. Grrrr...pain in the "you know where"... It's a little bit like moving a video track up on another track and the audio track not following right under, you have to go with two steps; it should be an option to make the whole thing follow as a group, always...

Fair point. I usually replace a lot of my captured sound with new soundtracks anyway, so I guess I don't encounter this problem so much.

Thanks for pointing it out.
