I'm a complete novice to this. I received Sound Forge 4.5 XP packaged with a second hand Sony Vaio, and want to copy my vinyl collection to cd. I've got as far as recording a .wav file, but I don't know how to clean it up. If I could reduce the clicks and scratches that would be nice but I don't want to spend a fortune on it. I've seen references to a Noise Reduction plugin but is this expensive? Does it work with 4.5? Is that the only way to go? |

The good news; Noise Reduction/Click and Crackle plug-in generally works very well. The bad news; Your going to have to upgrade to a full version of SoundForge for any DX plug-in support. I believe the Noise Reduction is/was bundled with the latest version of SoundForge. Check Products > SoundForge above. MJ |
