has anyone else noticed this...? -ACID Product Family

Posted by: Snappy Date:1/21/2003 6:04:41 PM i was working on a track yesterday. i was using sofo distortion plugin as an assignable effect. i put a volume curve on the effect's output bus so that the distortion would gradually swell up from silence over the course of a verse. everything worked fine. however, while listening to the track, whenever i would preview files along with it, the volume curve on the effect return was negated. the distortion would immediately play at full volume as though the volume curve wasn't there at all. stop previewing & the volume would follow the curve as it was supposed to. (auto-preview was on) anyone else notice this? anyone have an explanation for what appears to be a bug? is this a known issue? can you duplicate this problem? better yet, got a workaround? (i didn't try automating the effect send instead of the return, but that's not really a good solution since i may have multiple sends and don't want to automate them all...) TIA have phun =)
