I bought the SoundForge XP studio to record projects. I use a Delta 66 sound card and an Omni I/O interface box on my computer. I use an Alisis microverb to add its rich delays and verbs to my mixes. The problem is, when I create a trac in the Sound Forge FX studio the microverbs effects can be hear through the signal but it's effects are not recorded with the trac I am recording. How do I get sound forge to record the effects with the trac? Anyone have a clue or suggestion? Thanks! Tim Spotted Wolf |

It almost sounds like a dry track feature is being implemented in the MicroVerb. Is there such a feature in the unit? If there is, turn it off. HTH, Iacobus |

The MicroVerb only has one output (well, technically it has two ... left & right, but no separate wet/dry outs). This is probably a routing issue with your computer's sound interface. I'm completely unfamiliar with your interface, but it's possible that it is set up to monitor "what you hear" yet only record "line input" or whatever may be equivalent. I'm guessing that you have the original siginal going into the computer interface, patching from there to the MicroVerb, and then back into the interface. Is this correct? If so, then you're monitoring the input from the MicroVerb but recording the input from the original signal. You could use the MicroVerb inline between the source and the computer. This would guarantee that you are only getting the reverb's signal. You can easily bypass it when necessary by setting the mix knob all the way to "input" or setting both effects controls to the "12 o'clock" position. |
